F.A.Q.

Here I answer the practical questions about collecting my prints.
I care about clarity and simplicity, so that the entire process runs smoothly, without friction or surprises.

Print Quality & Authenticity

What defines the quality of a Limited Edition Print?

Each Limited Edition Print is personally reviewed and approved by me before it is released.
Only prints that fully meet my standards in terms of image fidelity, tonal balance, and overall coherence are signed and made available.

Black and white prints are genuine gelatin silver prints, while color prints are genuine chromogenic prints. All prints are produced by my trusted laboratory, following the highest professional quality standards.

Slight variations may occur.
Screens are calibrated differently and emit light, which affects the perceived brightness, contrast, and color of an image.

The print reflects light rather than emitting it, and should be considered the reference version of the photograph.

I follow the traditional museum standard for fine art photography.

Each print is authenticated directly on the verso (the back of the print). Every work is hand-signed, titled, dated, and numbered by me personally.

In addition, I apply my proprietary Artist’s Rights & Usage Stamp, which serves as a permanent record of authorship and rights, along with the Process Stamp identifying the photographic process: Gelatin Silver Print for black and white, Chromogenic Print for color.

These markings appear directly on the verso of the print, ensuring clear provenance for collectors, archives, and auction houses.

Shipping & Handling

When are Limited Edition Prints shipped?

If the print is already available in my archive, shipment is arranged promptly.
If not, please allow two to three weeks for processing and delivery.

Limited Edition Prints are shipped from Italy. Orders shipped outside the European Union may be subject to import duties, taxes, or customs fees, depending on the destination country. Any additional charges are the responsibility of the buyer.

I take the physical safety of my work very seriously. Each print is carefully packed either flat or rolled, depending on its size.

The print is first protected with acid-free glassine. It is then placed inside a rigid, heavy-duty shipping box designed to withstand handling during transport.

All shipments include tracking and full-value insurance from my studio to your door.

In the rare event that your order arrives damaged, please keep the original packaging and contact me at contact@marcotenaglia.com within seven days of delivery, including clear photographs of the damage.

If you believe your package may be lost, first check the tracking information provided by email.
If the issue is not resolved, email me at contact@marcotenaglia.com and I will look into it.
